Who we are
LegenDairy is a family-owned dessert, World Bites and house-made gelato shop at Pacific Park, Tamarindo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica (“LegenDairy”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us on WhatsApp or by phone at +506 8784 4841.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us:
- When you use our event or wholesale enquiry forms: your name, phone / WhatsApp number, email (optional), and the details you add about your event or business.
- When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or social media: your name, number or profile and the content of your messages.
You don’t need an account to use this website, and we never ask for payment details on it.
What we don’t collect
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or any other tracking technology, and does not store anything on your device.
Why we use it
To answer your questions, prepare quotes, and plan and deliver your event or wholesale order. We use your information on the basis of your consent, which you give when you contact us or send a form, and to take the steps you ask for before and under an agreement with us. We will not use it for advertising or send you marketing messages without your permission.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the services we need to run our business – WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us, our website host, Web3Forms, which delivers our website forms to our email and keeps a copy of each submission for a limited time, and ImprovMX, which forwards the emails sent to our business address – or when the law requires us to. Some of these services may store information on servers outside Costa Rica, under their own security and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, and for the periods required by Costa Rican accounting and tax law. After that, we delete it.
Your rights
Under Costa Rica’s Law on the Protection of Individuals regarding the Processing of their Personal Data (Law No. 8968) and its regulations, you may ask us at any time to access, correct, update or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent. Just write to us on WhatsApp or call +506 8784 4841 and we will respond within the time frames set by law. You may also contact the Agency for the Protection of Individuals’ Data (PRODHAB).
Security
We protect your information with reasonable technical and organisational measures and limit access to the people on our team who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Minors
Our enquiry forms are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 through this website.
Other websites
Our website links to Google Maps, Waze, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Tripadvisor. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
